Time Out

Story
Time Out is a wintry tragicomedy set in the cold far north. It tells the story of a father and son, Harri and Simo, who move to the small village of Harmaakedo, a place with little more than a church, a graveyard and a school, and snow as far as the eye can see. The villagers have been marinated in cold, envy and small-mindedness, and most of them have grown a little crooked.
Harri has left behind a wife and his post as a priest, and now he has to find a new direction in life. The suspicious atmosphere of the village, pride and the shame of the past begin to pile up in his way. When Simo runs into trouble at his new school at the same time, all hope seems lost. Or is it only after hitting rock bottom that you can really start building something new?
Time Out is a simple and pure film about fundamental, timeless questions. It is a moving story of compassion and trust: of a father seeking justice and a new beginning for his son and himself.
